Microsoft has kicked off the new year with a good deal on the Xbox One S console, making the console $20 cheaper than usual for the first two weeks of 2017.

Xbox official Twitter account announced that now gamers can purchase an Xbox One S 500GB console with a controller for $279. According to an image, this also includes select game bundles as well.

Through Walmart, both the Battlefield 1 Special Edition and Minecraft Edition 500 GB console and game bundles were already priced down to $279.

The deal is only valid for online purchases at Amazon, GameStop, and Walmart for the week of January 1-7th according to the image. Furthermore, Target and Best Buy will have the sale for the week following up until January 14th.
