Microsoft Band app unexpectedly updates on Windows 10 Mobile & PC

The official Microsoft Band app has updated on Windows 10 Mobile and PC to fix a number of bugs and stability issues. While the release notes are typically ambiguous, this update appears to have fixed glitches that were interfering with device syncing and were causing the app to crash randomly.

The update does come as a bit of a surprise as not only has Microsoft seemingly abandoned its Microsoft Band hardware but the official Windows 10 app listing is even encouraging users to try the iPhone and Android apps instead.

Set wellness goals and get actionable insights to help you live healthier with full-color, easily-understandable charts and graphs in the convenient phone app or the robust web dashboard. You acknowledge that your health and fitness data will be stored and processed in Microsoft data centers, which may be located outside of your region/country. Please see the Microsoft Privacy Statement for more details. Mobile app also available for Android and iPhone.
