While it’s pretty much a given that the Halo Master Chief Collection (MCC) would be coming to Xbox Game Pass given that Halo Wars 1 and 2 and Halo 5: Guardians are already listed, the HD remaster bundle has yet to be added and fans of the Halo franchise have been left to speculate as to when or even if it would arrive.

Microsoft and the Halo MCC developers have also been deliberately ambiguous when it comes to even confirming the game’s addition to Xbox Game Pass. Just last month, the Halo MCC developers posted on the official Halo website that, “Right now we’re focused squarely on delivering an awesome game update and decisions on when/where/how MCC is released and made available to players will be made by other groups at Microsoft. We have nothing to announce today but it’s something we’re definitely thinking about.”

Someone at Microsoft seems to have thrown caution to the wind and decided that the Halo MCC is coming to Xbox Game Pass because a new Twitter video ad for the service showcased it as one of the main titles today. You can see the ad in the embedded tweet below.

This ad was originally tweeted by the American Xbox Twitter account but was quickly deleted soon after. It’s still live on the Canadian Xbox account however

Halo MCC is a bundle that features HD remasters of Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. It’s still being updated with bug fixes and changes so it’s possible Microsoft may be waiting for a major update before adding it to Xbox Game Pass to help encourage more gamers to check it out after the changes have been made. This is purely speculation though.
