The Gears 5 video game is now available to play on Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 PCs for those that either purchased the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition or have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
The Gears 5 Ultimate Edition contains the base game plus a Halo: Reach Character Pack and 30 days of Boost in addition to the four day early access. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is kind of a combo subscription of Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass for Xbox.
Buyers of the regular version of Gears 5 will be able to play the game when it officially launches in a few days. As will regular Xbox Game Pass subscribers on console or PC.
Gears 5 is the latest video game in the Gears of War franchise and has been getting a lot of praise from reviewers and early access players. The title has been getting a massive promotional push by Microsoft with special tattoo events around the globe, the launch of a Gears mobile game, Dave Bautista game content, and a special stream by Ninja on Mixer.
