Xbox One gamers granted free access to all EA Access titles

Xbox One owners with Xbox Gold Live are in for a treat next week as subscribers are being given free access to all of the Xbox One titles in EA Access.

EA Access is a secondary program on Xbox One that usually requires its own paid subscription. Members are given access to EA Xbox One games ahead of public launch dates and a variety of games are playable for free. Between the 19^th and 24^th of January, Xbox Gold Live members can download the EA Access app on their console and enjoy all of the games in its “vault”. These titles include Battlefield Hardline, EA Sports UFC, Battlefield 4, FIFA 15, Madden 25, Dragon Age: Inquisition, NHL 15, Titanfall, Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Need for Speed Rivals, NBA LIVE 15, Peggle 2, FIFA 14, and Madden 14. Both paying EA Access subscribers and those sampling the program next week will be given a 10% discount on all EA games purchases on Xbox One which could make this a good incentive for anyone thinking about buying one of EA’s games sometime in the near future.

Due to players being given access to the full games, any progress made and content unlocked will be saved to the cloud for further play in the future should they either buy the full game or choose to become an EA Access subscriber after the 24^th. EA Access typically costs around US$4.99 a month or US$29.99 a year. Recently, EA confirmed that the company is considering providing backwards compatibility to Xbox 360 EA games through the EA Access program however the release of specific titles is said to depend heavily on if they can get them working on the Xbox One in the first place.
