This Nintendo WiiU exclusive LEGO video game is coming to Xbox One in 2017

The video game, LEGO CITY Undercover, which originally launched back in 2013 as a console-exclusive title for Nintendo’s WiiU, will be re-released in 2017 on Nintendo’s new Nintendo Switch console and also Microsoft’s Xbox One, Sony’s PlayStation 4, and on PC via Steam.

The announcement came earlier today via a tweet on the official Warner Bros Games Twitter account along with a promotional image and the Spring 2017 release window. No specific date has been revealed yet.

LEGO CITY Undercover featured an entirely original character and storyline based on the LEGO toy line. This set it apart from most of the other LEGO video games which are almost always based on a popular movie or TV franchises. Its main claim to fame was its large open-world play area and it was, for the most part, critically acclaimed by most media outlets.
