If you’re looking to ditch your Mac and join the Surface family, now is the best time to do so. Microsoft just launched both the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop in 25 markets worldwide, and in what can be seen as a push to win over Apple users, is also now offering up to an $850 discount on most Surface devices if you trade in old Apple iPad or MacBook.

The offer was initially announced in the ending of this post to the Windows Experience Blog. It will run from June 15, 2017, to July 31, 2017, while supplies last, and is only available in Microsoft retail stores in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. While in store, Microsoft Store associates will even help you find the right Surface device, and thanks to the Surface Migration Assistant app, will also help your files, pictures, music and settings to your new Surface device.

You can visit this link to check for your local Microsoft Store. It is, however, worth noting that your old device, Mac, or iPad must must power on, the battery must hold charge and not be required to be plugged in to operate. It also must be in fully functional, working condition without broken/missing components. All original accessories, and chargers must also be included, and the device must not be password protected, and also have original warranty seal and hard drive.

Microsoft is no stranger to these trade-in offers which entice MacBook users. The company previously ran a similar trade-in program about 8 months ago ahead of an October hardware event in NYC. In fact, that previous offer was perhaps quite popular, as it was extended right as it was set to expire.
