New Fortnite: Battle Royale update to bring 3 new locations and more, arriving next week

Epic Games is working hard on the next major update for Fortnite: Battle Royale. The next update, arriving next week, is expected to bring 3 new locations for players to roam for loot, as well as seeing the removal of the Christmas-themed treasure chests and trees.

Detailed in the latest developer update video for Fortnite, Epic Games' Eric Williamson says that "With the end of the holiday event we're going to be removing the Christmas trees and the treasure chests that spawn next to them". Fortunately, the removal of these will not lower the amount of loot available across the map, as the 3 new areas being added will add even more.

The 3 new locations, 1 being a city, will be added to the West-side of the map, helping to fill the empty void and even the map out, providing more points of interest, as explained in the below video.

The update will be rolling out next week - so get yourselves ready for the next big Fortnite: Battle Royale update!
