Microsoft 365 coming to US Government orgs next year

Yesterday, at the Microsoft Government Cloud Forum, the Redmond giant announced that Microsoft 365 will be coming to US Government organizations next year. This is all part of Microsoft’s goal in building cloud infrastructure specifically designed for the US government.

Availability will be coming to all US Government environments in 2018, and Microsoft will be initially adding defense industry, aerospace companies, and government contractors to the roadmap for the US Government. As part of the broader plan, Microsoft Teams will also be available in Microsoft 365 for US Government in 2018.

Microsoft’s infrastructure for the US government follows high standards for privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. The company even follows US Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, helping assure that digital accessibility is incorporated into product designs.
