There are reports that BioWare’s upcoming Xbox One game, Anthem, will be delayed until a 2019 release. Not great news for Xbox One gamers expecting Anthem’s original Fall 2018 release date, but not entirely unexpected. Anthem was originally announced at E3 2017 and As noted by Gamesindustry.biz report, BioWare insiders mentioned to Kotaku that the original Fall 2018 release date was “never realistic.”

Take a look at Anthem on Xbox One in the video below.

Anthem is set to be released on Xbox One first, no later than March 2019, with versions for Windows 10 PCs and other platforms later in the year. In addition to Anthem, BioWare is working on another installment of Dragon Age, and Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. Electronic Arts (EA), which owns BioWare, is still dealing with the fallout from the Star Wars Battlefront II loot crate fiasco, so the company needs to make sure that it doesn’t further alienate players with a poor game release. BioWare will have to deliver a solid game experience with Anthem or face a possible restructuring by EA.
