Sea of Thieves on Xbox One and Windows 10

After several months of testing, the final release of Sea of Thieves is coming closer. That said, Microsoft would like you to know the final beta is kicking off today on Xbox One and Windows 10, lasting all the way through March 11.

The final beta is open to anyone with an Xbox Live Gold account to download on Windows 10 and Xbox One. This is being called the biggest test yet, and to find it you just need to search for “Sea of Thieves Final Beta” in the Microsoft Store. This latest beta includes the Xbox One X enhancements and also tests Merchant Alliance voyages. Joe Neate, Executive Producer at Rare, explains what players can expect.

As well, we are now introducing an emergent, intense opportunity into the world, with the chance of a Skeleton Fort now being occupied. Watch out for that tell-tale Skull Cloud above a fort which indicates the chance of great rewards, but also great risk. Will other players have seen it? Or might they even be there already? Will you work together or against each other? We can’t wait to watch and find out.

Those participating in the beta should keep in mind that Rare might put a hold on other players joining sessions during peak play hours. It is encouraged to check out the status page and the Sea of Thieves Twitter page for status updates on the beta.

Sea of Thieves is scheduled for release on March 20, 2018. You can pre-order the game from the Microsoft Store by clicking below. Keep in mind this title is Xbox Play Anywhere, so you can buy once, and enjoy on both your PC and Xbox One.
