Roger Federer and Bill Gates will play a tennis match to support charity
Bill Gates will be joining tennis legend Roger Federer later this month to support the Roger Federer foundation, which works to secure education for children in Africa. The event will be taking place in Seattle on April 29th, and it’ll also feature some play from John Isner and a “surprise celebrity.”

Bill Gates and Roger Federer have some degree of mutual respect, with Federer being one of Gates’ favorite players and Gates being one of Federer’s most favored philanthropists. The event should make quite a big dent in the Roger Federer Foundation’s goal moving forward, as it’s likely to generate some pretty considerable amounts of cash. If the surprise celebrity guest ends up being someone with some serious draw, that number may even raise up higher.
On top of the sponsorship from Microsoft, the event also has Nike, Rolex, and Starbucks attached to it. Tickets will go on sale Thursday for anyone interested in supporting the event and watching some good tennis matches. If you’re interested in grabbing some of those tickets, you can do so right here starting Thursday.Further reading: Bill Gates, Microsoft, tennis
