Microsoft pushed out Windows 10 Insider build 17035 this afternoon, and it’s packed with a lot of new features, enhancements, and fixes. Those with PCs with AMD Processors, though, should be aware that they will not be seeing this build due to a bugcheck issue when upgrading to new builds.
Microsoft made note of the AMD issue at the start of today’s blog post for build 17035. Brandon LeBlanc, a senior program manager on the Windows Insider team notes:
Due to a bug that causes PCs with AMD processors to bugcheck during upgrading to current builds, we are blocking PCs with AMD processors from receiving this build. We are investigating and working to fix so we can remove this block.
While a bit frustrating, you can expect Microsoft to work hard to find a resolution to this problem soon. For now, you can catch up and add to the anticipation of a fix coming soon to your AMD-powered PC by checking out our coverage of this build here.Further reading: AMD, build 17035, Fast Ring, Microsoft, Redstone 4, RS4, Skip Ahead Ring, Windows 10, Windows Insider
