The long awaited Windows 10 Mobile flagship devices, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, are finally beginning to arrive in users’ hands. AT&T customers can pick up a Lumia 950 from the US mobile operator (if they can find one in their stores), and it looks like the Lumia 950 XL, only available at this point if you placed an order early enough for “shipping by November 25th”, may actually meet that deadline.
According to Windows Central, some US customers are getting notices that their phones are being shipped, with an expected arrival date of Wednesday the 25th, and the day before Thanksgiving (we’re still waiting for a notification here). US customers were able to pre-order the 950 XL, for $649, but it quickly sold out, first moving the expected delivery date back to December 11th, and now offering only the less than encouraging “coming soon“.
Still, it’s encouraging that at least some of the pre-ordered phones are shipping, and if you ordered one, check your inbox and let us know if you’re in line to receive your new toy in time for Thanksgiving.
