Lumia 950 XL now "coming soon" at US and Canada Microsoft Store sites

The Lumia 950 XL has had quite the roller coaster ride since pre-orders began at the Microsoft Store earlier this week. Initial units sold out, then another wave was shipping December 11, and now it looks like the flagship smartphone is out of the pipeline entirely.
Check out the Lumia 950 XL’s status. Currently, no date is listed at all, just the rather ominous “Coming soon.”

If Microsoft has any idea when the Lumia 950 XL will start shipping again, they're not telling.
If Microsoft has any idea when the Lumia 950 XL will start shipping again, they’re not telling.

As we mentioned when the first wave sold out, we don’t know how many units in total have been manufactured and made available, and Microsoft likely won’t reveal those numbers. And, we’re sure that Microsoft’s offer of a free Display Dock helped push some fence-sitters away from the Lumia 950. However, we’re still impressed with the interest that the Lumia 950 XL has generated.
We’re looking forward to getting our hands on a unit and digging into its performance as today’s premier Windows 10 Mobile device. We were impressed with the Lumia 950 when we went hands-on at Microsoft’s Device Night 2015, and we’re anxious to see how well the Lumia 950 XL performs. And of course, just as soon as we have our initial impressions, we’ll be sure to pass them along to you.
