Today at Ignite 2017, CEO Satya Nadella laid out Microsoft’s big plans for quantum computing. Here’s a short video by Microsoft to give you an introduction to the world of quantum computing, where Microsoft blends quantum physics with computer science.
In the last year, Microsoft hired two new leaders of quantum computing and created a new Microsoft AI and Research Group that reports directly to Nadella. Quantum computing hardware and software are speculated to be able to handle some of the biggest hurdles that we face today, like climate change and finding new ways of treating and curing diseases, at a much faster pace than current technology.
Today, Microsoft unveiled a new website, and a new video showing everything the company is working on and quantum computing services available for enterprise customers. Check out the new video below.

According to Microsoft, quantum computing will change the way we think about the world around us and solve some of the most complex problems that we face as a global community.
