3 years ago today, Satya Nadella was chosen to be the new CEO of Microsoft, being rewarded for more than 20 years working with the company. Since his time at the company he's seen employees and fans through the success of the Surface line of products, the launch of Windows 10, the announcement of HoloLens, and so much more. These past few years have seemed like some of the most progressive in the history of Microsoft, and we can't imagine having gone through it all without Nadella at the helm.
Nadella filled the shoes of legends like Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer, and was more than ready to take up the job. A natural speaker, talented leader, and true believer in the idea of empowering people with technology, Nadella was a natural fit to be the walking face of Microsoft. His philosophy would have technology be a tool to help make the world a better place, and under his leadership Microsoft has become the biggest proponent of that altruistic goal.
Looking to the future, Microsoft faces a series of challenges and opportunities that none of us could have seen coming. As Nadella enters his fourth year as the leader of the company, it's going to be quite the experience watching him move the company forward in its new direction. We look forward to a long and prosperous future for Microsoft, and wish Nadella the best of luck as he leads the way.
