CD Projekt Red, the developer behind the upcoming The Witcher card game spin-off title, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, has confirmed that the new game will be part of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere label. This means that Gwent will not only support cross-play between the Xbox One console and Windows 10 PCs but gamers will only have to buy one version to gain the other for free and all digital purchases and progress will transfer between devices.

A closed beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game launches today which will give fans an early look at how the stand-alone card game will compare against its original mini-game version that appeared in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Gwent is a card battler game that requires players to move cards representing both monsters and items in order to defeat their opponent. Are you looking forward to Gwent? Are you glad it’ll be an Xbox Play Anywhere title? Let us know in the comments below.
