Microsoft’s Groove Music subscription may be dead, but the company is still keeping the Groove Music app on Windows 10 up to date. As first noted by Windows Blog Italia, the latest Groove Music app update for Fast Ring Insiders brings more touches of Fluent Design to the experience (via MSPoweruser.)

This update brings the Groove music app up to version 10.18011.12711.0. Although small, it is much appreciated since it moves the Playback bar a bit higher up, and also introduces Fluent Design acrylic looks and reveal the effect on the playback buttons. We’re not seeing this update on any of our Fast Ring devices, so this update could be in A/B testing for the time being. Anyway, see the Fluent Design changes in action in the picture below.

Groove Music on Windows 10 last saw a major Fluent Design update six months ago, then introducing a lighting effect when hovering over playlists and icons, and slightly transparent buttons. The app remains one of the most beautiful UWP apps you can find on Windows 10, making the discontinuation of Groove Music Pass really unfortunate for music lovers.
