Your Phone Companion app for Android becomes top trending app in the Google Play Store

Your Phone is one the main new features coming with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, marking a big new step in Microsoft’s strategy to make our PCs work better with iOS and Android smartphones. If you have an Android phone today, Your Phone is able to sync your recent messages and photos on your PC, and Microsoft has already started working on new features like Android app mirroring.

It’s just been a couple of days since the October 2018 became publicly available, but the Your Phone Companion app for Android has already become the top trending app in the US Google Play Store.

The #YourPhone companion app is now the #1 trending app in the Google Play app store! So exciting to see the enthusiasm for cross device experiences. Thank you to our fans! pic.twitter.com/t7ydEREdQX

To be frank, Your Phone brings a level of synergy with Android phones that Windows 10 never really had with Windows 10 Mobile in the first place. Windows 10 users have been requesting for years a simple solution for sending and receiving text messages from their PC, and Microsoft finally delivered. Your Phone is still a work in progress, and it doesn’t support MMS messages or phone calls for now, but the openess of Android will hopefully allow Microsoft to bring even more useful features to Your Phone.

Do you think Your Phone is Windows 10’s new killer app, and would you say that it was well worth the wait? Let us know below.
