Windows Defender improvements in Windows 10 build 15002 include “Refresh Windows” and more

Windows Defender is a great way for you to protect your computer, and today’s build which was pushed out by Dona Sarkar and the Windows Insider team just enhanced the feature a bit. Here is a look at the improvements for Windows defender in build 15002.

According to Dona Sarkar, the Windows Defender app in Windows 10 build 15002 has new options for running quick, advanced, or full scans. There are also added options for Device performance and extra health scans for an in-depth report on your PC’s health. In addition, there are new visual improvements under Family Options, and new links to great content and applications on the web to set up a family or view device information.

Along with the usual bug fixes, a settings page has also been added to change the configuration on the app or learn more about it. Also new to the app is “Refresh Windows,” which may help you if your If your PC is running slow, if it crashes or if you are unable to update your Windows. The feature starts you fresh by reinstalling and updating Windows, which will remove most of your apps but keep your personal files and some Windows settings.
