Just last week, HoloLens owners got their first preview build of the upcoming Redstone 4 update for the Mixed Reality headset. Well, yet another RS4 build is now rolling out to HoloLens, and this time it is the same build 17133.1004 build that previously rolled out to Windows Insiders on PC (via Windows Central.)

This latest build is only available for HoloLens users who already installed the previous Insider build (17123) and it should be showing up now under Windows Update. Unlike before, however, HoloLens owners won’t need to wipe their headset to install and can update just as they would normally. There’s not much new in this build, and it just brings general fixes for speech reliability and overall reliability for the headset. Microsoft also notes a known issue with this build where users may experience reliability issues when using voice to place Skype calls for the first time.

With the Xbox Spring Update now rolling out to Omega Insiders, and the PC version of the Redstone 4 release just picking up small bug fixes, development of Redstone 4 is basically complete. Given today’s HoloLens news, the build numbers are now lining up across Microsoft’s three Windows 10 platforms, so best to keep tuned for more.
