Welcome back to our Windows 10 news recap. We are continuing the trend of our weekly “Windows 10 news recap” series where we go over the top stories of the past week in the world of Microsoft’s flagship operating system.

Skype updated on Windows 10 for all, brings new emoji reaction features, more

The Skype app on Windows 10 has received a new update that brings a number of new features. The first of which is emoji reactions, something that has been seen on the new Skype experience for iOS and Android already, as well as the hamburger menu being removed, making it quicker to access calls and conversations.

LinkedIn is retiring its Windows Mobile app, but a new app for Windows 10 is coming soon

While LinkedIn is ending support for its Windows phone app, the now Microsoft-owned company is going to be releasing an app for Windows 10, but without any mention of mobile support.

Customers of Microsoft’s Surface Pro (2017) complain of backlight bleed issue, Microsoft offers no response

Only this week Microsoft released a fix for the hibernation issue in its Surface Pro devices, now another issue is being widely reported – the backlight bleeding from the bottom edge. Microsoft has not responded to complaints of the issue, but we’ve asked for an official response.

Macphun launches photo editing app Luminar for Windows public beta

A month ago, Macphun announced that it is bringing its award-winning photo editing app, Luminar, to Windows. Now, the company has launched a public beta of Luminar for Windows, available for free. The beta comes packed with its all-new Accent AI filter.
