Windows 10 Dropbox app gets redesign in latest update

Posted in:

The official Dropbox app updated today to version 4.6.1.0 on Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, and Xbox One. This latest version of the app brings a new visual design to the user interface that functions better on the Xbox One (Dropbox has been available on the video game console since last week) and adds a new visual flair to the desktop and phone versions.

The biggest new feature with this update is the ability to set an image as a background wallpaper. This was teased in several tweets from app developer Rudy Huyn last week and it looks like he made good on his promises.

Dropbox is a popular cloud storage service that is used by many people to backup data and transfer files between devices. It’s free to use initially but, like most online services, requires a paid plan once a data threshold is reached.
