Microsoft Edge & Bing on Surface Pro

An official Microsoft Edge browser extension for the MEGA cloud storage service has gone live in the Microsoft Store and can be downloaded for free. Naturally, this extension won’t be very useful for those without a MEGA account but for those who are curious to try it out, or just need more cloud storage somewhere, the service does provide new users with 50 GB of storage for free. Here’s the official store description.

MEGA is a secure cloud storage service with 50 GB free storage space. This extension will allow you to install MEGA into your browser. It will reduce loading times, improve download performance and strengthen security. Any MEGA URL will be captured by this app and stay local (no JavaScript will be loaded from our servers).

Browser extensions like this work within Microsoft Edge and are generally a convenient way to perform specific tasks without opening a separate app or website. Do you have a favorite Edge extension? Share your recommendations with the community in the comments below.
