The Division is the latest to get the Xbox One X Enhanced update, bringing 4K gaming to the Xbox One game title. In addition to a number of other game performance enhancements and bug fixes in Patch 1.8, as noted in the Ubisoft post, here’s what the 4K update includes:

Xbox One X Enhancement Patch

  • 4K rendering
  • Higher anisotropy
  • Improved reflections
  • Improved object detail
  • Improved screen-space shadows

Ubisoft plans to unveil The Division 2 at E3 2018 in June, but it’s good to see that The Division is still getting regular updates to continually fix issues. It will be interesting to see if The Division 2 keeps the storyline in New York City or if the story will continue in a different locale.

The new 1.8 Patch also added a number of new zones to The Division, wetting players’ appetites for new solo missions while they await the release of The Division 2. It will be interesting to see what Ubisoft has planned for The Division 2, premiering at E3 2018. Stay tuned.
