Seven new titles coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility this week

Last month, the Xbox One Backward Compatibility catalog reached a new milestone with more than 300 Xbox 360 games becoming playable on the Xbox one, but the Xbox team will continue to add more backward compatible games this year. Indeed, Xbox’s Major Nelson has just announced that seven more games have just been added to the list including: Strania: The Stella Machina, The Splatters, Scrap Metal, Ghostbusters, Dragon Age Origins, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3.

If you’re not familiar with these games, we’ve added the official descriptions below, though please note that Battlefield 3 is not available to purchase on the Xbox Store as of today.

Strania: The Stella Machina ($9.99)

Reminiscent of nostalgic arcade games from the 1980s, XBox LIVE Arcade delivers an authentic robot shoot’em up with Strania. Scrap Metal ($14.99)

Drift around corners with guns blazing and take out legendary competitors in this fast-paced, top-down racing game. Fight your way through explosive, action-packed missions and defeat cunning bosses to add their vehicles to your garage. Customize your newly-acquired cars and then return to the track to blast through more enemies. Jump online with Xbox LIVE to race against your friends and crush their cars with the wheels of your monster truck in pulse-pounding online multiplayer matches.

Ghostbusters ($14.99)

Join the Ghostbusters in an all new adventure penned by the film’s original creators.  The classic cast is back in the newest installment of the Ghostbusters saga. Dragon Age Origins ($14.99)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ($19.99)
