Over the weekend, the Groove Music app on Windows 10 was updated to include a new “Now Playing” screen and some Project NEON aesthetics. Today some of that aesthetic has expanded into the Movies & TV app by way of a new Fast Ring app update for Windows Insiders.

As seen in the lead image above, the latest version 10.17032.1020.0 Fast Ring app update for Windows Insiders brings a somewhat transparent and blur look to the title bar of the app. The blur look in the title bar not nearly as intense as Windows 7 users might be accustomed to, but it is still most noticeable with the dark app theme enabled. It is, however, still an element of Project NEON, which is the rumored revamp of the Windows 10 UI that is reported to bring transparent and blur effects to the experiences across the OS.

While it’s very assuring to see that Microsoft is introducing the Project NEON looks to stock Windows 10 apps, this update is only available for Windows Insiders. Given the fact that Windows Insiders are known to test out new app features first, it is still not clear if Microsoft is planning to include this look in the Movies & TV app with the Windows 10 Creators Update.
