Resident Evil 2 1-Shot on Xbox One

The free demo for the upcoming Resident Evil 2 video game, Resident Evil 2 1-Shot, is now available to download and play on the Xbox One.

Unlike most other video game demos, which limit the gameplay content made available to players, the Resident 2 demo places a 30 minute time limit on the player and also requires online connectivity throughout.

It’s an unusual approach for a demo for such a major release and it should be interesting to see how it’s received by players. Here’s its official description:

This specially tuned demo allows you to experience the newly reimagined Resident Evil 2, but be warned: whilst you can continue as many times as you like after dying, you’ll only have 30 MINUTES to complete the demo. Take in the horror atmosphere at your own pace, or make a desperate dash to solve all the puzzles Raccoon Police Department has to offer? The choice is yours!

Note: this demo is available until 1/31/2019. You must be signed in and have an active internet connection to play. If the application gets disconnected and goes offline during gameplay, the time counter will continue to progress upon returning to the title screen. Please reconnect once the warning message has been displayed, or exit the game once if any disconnection issues have been encountered.

The full release of Resident Evil 2 is due out on the Xbox One later this month on January 25th. Digital pre-orders for it are currently open.
