Microsoft releases June firmware updates for Surface Pro X and Surface Studio

Microsoft is rolling out a series of new firmware updates for the Surface Pro X and Surface Studio devices (via Neowin). The new bits are packed with a host of performance enhancements.

For Surface Pro X owners, the June firmware updates bring improvements to the Teams app experience, device audio performance, as well as battery performance. You can get more details in the full release notes below:

  • Qualcomm(R) Adreno(TM) 680 GPU: 26.18.1040.0000 improves the Microsoft Teams app experience and resolves intermittent display issues.
  • Qualcomm(R) Aqstic(TM): 1.0.0770.0000 improves device audio performance.
  • Qualcomm(R) Aqstic™: 4.0.0710.0000 improves device audio performance.
  • Qualcomm(R) Hexagon(TM) 690 DSP: 1.0.1040.0000 resolves device bugcheck.
  • Qualcomm(R) Hexagon(TM) 690 DSP: 1.0.1040.0000 resolves device bugcheck.
  • Qualcomm(R) Memory and File System Device: 1.0.1040.0000 resolves device bugcheck.
  • Qualcomm(R) System Manager Device: 1.0.1040.0000 resolves device bugcheck and device crash.
  • Qualcomm(R) Wi-Fi B/G/N/AC (2×2) Svc: 1.0.1020.0000 addresses potential security updates and improves connection reliability.
  • Surface Pro X Qualcomm(R) Aqstic(TM): 1.0.0820.0000 improves device audio performance.
  • Surface Qualcomm(R) Aqstic(TM): 1.0.820.0 improves device audio performance.
  • Surface System Aggregator: 14.105.139.0 improves battery performance and reporting.
  • Surface UEFI: 3.477.140.0 improves system stability.

The changelog for the Surface Studio is comparatively shorter, and these firmware updates focus on security while improving the overall stability of the system, and you can check out the full details below:

  • Intel iCLS Client Extension: 1.56.87.0 addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) ICLS Client – Software devices: 1904.12.0.1208 addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) Management Engine Interface – System: 1914.12.0.1256 addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel Camera IR – System devices: 1.0.31.1 addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Surface Integration Service Device – System devices: 5.91.139.0 addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Surface ME – Firmware: 11.8.70.3626 addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Surface UEFI – Firmware: 119.3195.768.0 addresses security updates and improves system stability.

As usual, these new firmware updates will roll out via Windows Update. You simply need to head over to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update and click the “Check for updates” button to download them.
