Windows 10 Mobile update

As Microsoft attempts to keep its promises of faster Fast Ring updates for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile it is setting the pace with a few minor lead up releases. Along with the impending rollout of Windows 10 Mobile to a plethora of Windows 8.1 devices, and a push towards this year’s Redstone update, Microsoft has started releasing minor but seemingly necessary updates to devices. Today, Microsoft is pushing out a minor update to the Windows Insider app on Windows 10 Mobile devices.

Unlike some previous app updates, this one can’t be skipped. If you open the app and hit “Get Preview builds,” you’ll be prompted to update and can’t proceed without doing so.

The version upgrades from 1.3.231.4 to 1.3.233.1, and we can’t see any major changes. In all likelihood, the update fixes some things under the hood in preparation for upcoming Redstone updates.

Stay tuned to WinBeta for more Windows 10 upgrade news. Tomorrow might bring a slew of updates, from Windows 10 Mobile rolling out to more than just the most recent Lumias, and Windows 10 build 10586.63 hitting non-Insider PCs and smartphones as well. Could be a busy day.
