The Halo Infinite video game was given a new 2021 release date this morning. Along with this major announcement came several, previously unseen, images showcasing some of the visual improvements that have been made to the title since its rather controversial presentation earlier this year.
The first two pictures give Halo fans their first look at a multiplayer map in Halo Infinite and, while both images are from a “work in progress” build of the game, they do look significantly better than what was shown of the game previously.
Of course, still promotional images almost always look better than a final product which can go through various changes before launch. Plus games naturally look different when actually being played so it’s important to set expectation accordingly.
Two images of Halo Infinite weapons were also released which you can see below. One of the common complaints made after the initial presentation was how bland the weapons looked with many commenting on a plastic look and the lack of details.
Both of these images were clearly released today to allay all of these concerns with these weapons clearly showing a more detailed and metallic aesthetic.
The new images getting the most attention from Halo fans are the following ones which showcase some of the customization options that will be available after Halo Infinite’s launch.
Finally, a new image of the game's world was revealed which, like the other images, shows a much more detailed and "current gen" look.
