Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus phones now on sale online at the Microsoft Store

Earlier today, Microsoft detailed their upcoming Black Friday sales at the Microsoft Store and other participating retailers. Turns out that several months after announcing the sale of Samsung Galaxy S8 phones in their US retail stores, Microsoft will also be discounting the Android devices online for Black Friday (via MSPU)

The sale, accounting for a $150 savings, can be previewed on the bottom portion of Microsoft's Black Friday sales page. It is mentioned that "Starting 11/23: Ring in the holidays with big savings on an Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+."  To be clear, the versions of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus which Microsoft is selling are no different from others.  As we detailed back 8 months ago:

"A Microsoft customization is applied to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition when the devices are unboxed and connected to Wi-Fi… This customization ensures customers a best-in-class productivity experience with Microsoft applications such as Office, OneDrive, Cortana, Outlook and more..."

Microsoft is making big bets with Android, recently rebranding Arrow Launcher to Microsoft Launcher with several new features allowing for it to work seamlessly with Windows 10. Those who are loyal to Windows 10 Mobile, though, might also be happy, as Microsoft will also be putting up the Alcatel Idol 4S for sale on Black Friday at $301 off.
