A Brazilian Xbox One user has taken a photo of the Store on their console that appeared to show an option to rent the video game, Forza Motorsport 7, for three months at the rate of around US$21.

If the photo is legitimate, this option was probably only made visible visa some sort of OS glitch as it’s unlikely that Microsoft would rollout or even test such a feature before announcing it somewhere.

Purchasing digital versions of video games on the Xbox One (and other consoles) is nothing new and the recently launched Xbox Game Pass has given gamers a kind of Netflix-like gaming subscription service. Microsoft does offer digital movie rentals in the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 devices and the Xbox One though so the addition of rental games wouldn’t exactly be a big stretch for the company to pull off. It’s entirely possible that this is something that could be coming to Xbox One consoles soon.
