With most players having unlocked the majority of Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 1 content, many have been wondering when this current season will finally end and the next season will begin.

Epic Games has finally released some information on future content and it seems like Season 2 of Chapter 2 will need to wait for a rather significant update to go live in early-February which will transition the game to the Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system.

The Unreal Engine update will bring the popular video game to Version 11.50 and Chapter 2 Season 2 content is expected to go live on February 20th.

No concreate info on Season 2 content has been announced but an official blog entry does tease that it “will feature — with multiple –.”

To keep players engaged until then, additional Overtime Challenges will be added and a new two-week event will also be held.

In other Fortnite video game news, gamers can now enter a competition on TikTok to create a new emote for the title and Ninja was given his very own Fortnite skin. Speaking of Ninja, word is that Microsoft paid him $20-30 million to jump to Mixer from Twitch.
