At CES 2020, Dell introduced an updated version of the Dell Mobile Connect Windows 10 app. The Dell Mobile Connect app offers the same functions as Microsoft Your Phone, but Dell Mobile Connect can offer a better integration experience for iOS users.
As noted in a post on Neowin, Dell pushed out an update, introducing version 3.0 of the Dell Mobile Connect app. The new update provides the Dell Mobile Connect app with three new features.
- Screen mirroring
- File transfer
- You no longer have to have the app open to send an SMS message
The Dell Mobile Connect app already offers these three “new” features for Android, but Dell has done what Microsoft’s Your Phone has been unable to do; provide these same features for iPhone users. Before, if you wanted screen mirroring and file transfer with an iPhone, you would need an Apple PC, using AirpPlay and AirDrop. Dell Mobile Connect is available pre-installed on any new Dell Windows 10 PC. However, the Dell Mobile Connect app is also available in the Microsoft Store. Download it in the link below.
