Bing Maps is continuing to fill out its geographical imaging of the world. Last week we saw more of Western Canada added into the database. This week, Bing is adding high definition pictures from Italy and Switzerland.

The images span across 297,000 square kilometers in Italy, including the landmark city of Palmanova. The 38,000 square kilometers of Switzerland added also shows off Bern, a large city and home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

No doubt we’ll see more of these special locations come to Bing Maps, seeing how Microsoft wants it to be direct competition to Google Maps and others.
