Today, Microsoft released the Payment Request API preview for Microft Edge. The Payment Request API will allow for easier checkout and payments on the web on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. Stable builds of Windows 10 will receive Payment Request API support in the Windows 10 Creators Update due out in early 2017.
According to the Microsoft Edge Dev blog, the Edge team will be using the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary update to release Edge support for Web Apps built using WebM, VP9 and Opus audio and video codecs for streaming.
In conjunction with the internal tools built into its new Edge browser, Microsoft is also announcing its new Global CSS Property Usage tool.
