Quick review of the Chuwi UBlue Car Charger, and a chance to win one

Abhishek Baxi

I’ve been using Chuwi laptops and tablets since a while, but was surprised to find a car charger from the company in my mail for review. There’s not much to review in a car charger, really. That said, the Chuwi UBlue car charger is a pretty good one.

The Chuwi UBlue car charger comes in a nice-looking black box. Once you take it out, you’d instantly observe that it’s a solid and heavy piece of metal. It’s small and compact, with no frills – like one would prefer a car charger to be. But it’s nicely built and machined, and there’s a definite premium feel to it.

The 3.4A dual USB port car charger boasts of Smart Charge technology that intelligently identifies your mobile devices and provides optimized charging. Like with most fast chargers, the maximum current output of a single port is 2.4A.

The charger has a LED ring around it that lights up when powered on. One it looks quite chic, and also helps in spotting the ports when you’re driving at night.

The company claims that the car charger offers five layers of circuit protection to prevent overflow of current or voltage, short circuit, or even temperature excess.

At $11.99 on Amazon, the Chuwi UBlue car charger makes for a solid option on the table if you’re looking for a nice-looking and affordable car charger.
