Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Xbox SmartGlass app for both Windows 8 and Windows RT, available now in the Windows Store. Amazon, on the other hand, has also rolled out an update to their Amazon app, also available in the Windows Store.
“Xbox SmartGlass lets you use your Windows 8 device as a second screen to intelligently interact with your Xbox 360. It helps your devices work together to enhance your TV shows, movies, music, sports, and games. Control and interact with what’s on your TV with simple gestures on your Windows device,” the Xbox SmartGlass app description reads.
“The Amazon app allows you to quickly make purchases, search, compare prices, read reviews, and share products with friends using a simple yet elegant interface. Shop just as you do on the web. You can access any of Amazon’s sites around the world from a single app by simply selecting your desired Amazon country store or shipping destination. You have full access to your existing cart and wish lists,” the Amazon app description reads.
The Xbox SmartGlass app features various performance enhancements and feature updates, including the support for Internet Explorer on the Xbox 360. You can also see rich interactive experiences that can show new content related to what you are watching on TV.
The Amazon app has been updated to feature a Live Tile, along with various unnamed performance improvements. Hit the download link below to snag the updated apps or update your app via the Windows Store.
