Xbox Live Gold members have a lot of benefits for opting for the paid subscription plan on their Xbox consoles. Not only the weekly offers, gamers can also get to play with new games without paying even a single penny. With October’s Games with Gold, Xbox One owners will be able to play a new indie game dubbed as Chariot from Canadian developers Frima.

Coming up in October, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Chariot, the newest ID@Xbox game from Canadian developers Frima, will debut on Xbox One as a free download, replacing September Xbox One Games with Gold title Super Time Force (if you haven’t already downloaded it, now would be a good time).

As for those in possession of the good old Xbox 360, there are two games which will be available for free. Firstly, from Wednesday, October 1st until October 15th, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, normally priced at $14.99, will be available for free for Xbox Live gold members. Following October 15th, Xbox 360 owners will be able to download Darksiders II, normally priced at $49.99, for free. The second title will be available as a free download until October 31st.

This sounds great to me — you can’t deny that Xbox Live Gold has its own set of benefits, especially with the games users can acquire at discounted prices, and even free.
