As E3 fades from gamer memory, we get details about the next Xbox appearance at Gamescom 2015. If you enjoyed the Xbox Daily shows at E3 this year, then you’ll be happy to hear that the Xbox Daily LIVE gang will be doing some shows at Gamescom too. The Xbox briefing will begin in the Gloria Theater in Cologne, Germany on Tuesday, August 4th at 10 am EDT.
Gamescom is on for a whole week with Xbox Daily LIVE broadcasting on the first three days. You can tune into the live shows via Xbox One, Xbox.com and Xbox 360. The first-day live briefing will last for 60 minutes and be hosted by Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, Graeme Boyd, Xbox Live’s AceyBongos, and Julia Hardy. Here’s what you can expect during the show:
- Breaking news about any announcements on the show floor
- Exclusive Interviews with guest stars and game creators
- Behind the scenes footage
- An Interactive TV experience for Xbox One owners
- World premiere announcements and trailer reveals
Days two and three of Xbox Daily LIVE @ Gamescom will start at 12 pm EDT on August 5th and 6th respectively.
For those attending Gamescom, the Xbox crew will be offering 500 lucky fans a chance to win tickets to attend Xbox FanFest: Gamescom 2015 on August 4th and 5th. If you want a FanFest ticket, you need to start lining up at the Gloria Theater in Cologne from 2 pm CEST on Tuesday, August 4th. It will be first come first served, so get there early. Some caveats are, you need to be over 18 years old, and there’s only one ticket per person.
On the night of Tuesday, Aug. 4th the lucky few will get exclusive access to the Xbox FanFest Showcase, where fans will get hands-on time with games before other Gamescom attendees. FanFest ticket holders will also enjoy:
• A secret Wednesday day-time activity.
• VIP Access to the very first Xbox Party on the Rhein on Wednesday, August 5. Take an evening cruise while enjoying an epic Xbox event, just for our fans.
• Exclusive fan swag and Xbox-branded backpacks.
• Meet and greet some of the industry’s top developers, leaders and influencers.
On the Friday, August 7th, the Halo 5: Guardians Gamescom Invitational by ESL will take place at 3 pm CEST (9 am EDT) in the ESL Arena on the Gamescom show floor. Four pro teams will take part in the Arena gameplay contest. The teams will have a chance to practice playing Halo 5: Guardians Arena multiplayer all week so the Invitational should be quite a showdown. The teams that have been invited are Epsilon Esports (EU), Supremacy (EU), CAZ.Esports (EU), and OpTic Gaming (NA)
This event set to be an interesting show for Xbox fans. There has been a steady stream of big announcements coming from the Xbox camp over the last few months, and it looks like this show will be no exception. It will be interesting to see what Phil Spencer and the team will reveal this year.Further reading: Gamescom 2015, Larry Hryb, Major Nelson, Phil Spencer, Video Games, Xbox
