Windows Phone 8.1

Not too long ago, we heard reports that Lumia Cyan is rolling out for selected users in Argentina, and now a new report suggests a full-scale roll out will commence from the third quarter of this year. The news was dropped at the Lumia 630 launch event in the country, saying that existing Lumia devices — Lumia 520 to 1520 — will get the latest update later this year.

There’s no exact date for availability nor the devices it will start with, but it’s likely that it will begin with Nokia Lumia 925 or 1020. Lumia 925 is getting the Windows Phone 8.1 update in Finland as well, and is also expected to roll out in India and Spain this week.

Windows Phone 8.1 comes with a handful of new features, including the much-awaited Action Center that displays notifications and provides quick access to toggle on/off connectivity settings, personal voice assistant Cortana (though it’s only limited to US at the moment), improved Internet Explorer and much more.

We’ll update you as soon as the roll out process begins. Stay tuned.
