Microsoft has OneDrive’s Files On-Demand feature available in Windows 10 for enterprise users too. Microsoft goes into details about OneDrive Files On-Demand on their blog. With the new Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, let’s take a look at what you can do with Files On-Demand. Files On-Demand uses the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update to make it easier for users to sync their files into Windows File Explorer, while using Azure to limit the use of their organization’s network usage.

Files On-Demand works with personal and work files on OneDrive, as well as your SharePoint Online team sites. Files On-Demand allows users to browse and manage files, documents, and more without taking up valuable disk space that could be used for more important enterprise storage.

Enterprise IT admins can learn more about OneDrive Files On-Demand in this video.

Files On-Demand is valuable because your corporate network doesn’t have to waste time and money with users all downloading the same content. OneDrive gives IT admins the power to customize the Files On-Demand experience to the needs of their organization. More information on group policies is available in the OneDrive Group Policy Control documentation.
