While the HP Elite x3 was initially expected to start shipping in the UK on August 18th, the launch of the device has since been delayed many times in the country. However, Windows 10 Mobile enthusiasts in the UK can now rejoice as both HP.com and the UK Microsoft Store have finally started shipping the premium handset in the country (via Neowin). Both stores currently sell the HP Elite x3 for £706.80 (Desk dock included), though stocks could be pretty low as of today.
If you already pre-ordered your HP Elite x3, be aware that the phone doesn’t ship with the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update which will be available to download on the premium handset starting September 13th. The Anniversary Update will be necessary to enable the handset’s fingerprint sensor, though the HP Elite x3 is eligible for the Windows Insider program and you can get the update this way if you don’t want to wait for two more weeks.
Additionally, we previously reported that HP is currently testing a firmware update to bring Windows Hello improvements, double tap to wake support and more. The premium Windows 10 Mobile phone is expected to be available in 47 countries in the coming weeks and the handset will start shipping to consumers in the US and Canada on September 12th.Further reading: HP, HP Elite x3, Microsoft Store UK, UK, Windows 10 Mobile
