Windows 10 Mobile’s default camera app automatically turns on or off HDR while capturing photos, which can be a little annoying — users can’t control when the app uses HDR while capturing. Users have complained about it, but now it appears that Microsoft is working on fixing this.
Microsoft’s imaging head Juha Alakarhu confirmed that “Force HDR” is coming to Windows 10 Mobile‘s official camera app soon (via AAWP). Unfortunately, he didn’t have any exact availability date for the feature, but it should be a relief for users who want to control this feature.
In case you don’t know, HDR (high dynamic range) imaging captures multiple photos at the same time at different settings and then combines them to give users a more richer and sharper image.
We’ll update you as soon as Microsoft releases the new Force HDR feature for Windows 10 Mobile.Further reading: Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft, Windows 10 Mobile
