Windows 10 Insiders get a cumulative update, bumping the version number to 14986.1001

Just last week Dona Sarkar tweeted out that there would be no new builds for the rest of this year due to the holiday season, but it would appear that the folks over at the Windows Insider team still do not rest. According to Neowin, Microsoft has pushed out a cumulative update to Windows 10 Insiders, bringing the newest version number to 14986.1001.

Dona Sarkar has remained quiet on her Twitter in regards to new builds, and there is not currently a KB Page for the KB3206309 update which pushes the build number up, so it would appear that this latest build could just be a security patch.  Rest assured, we will be standing by and will update this post once a changelog has been released. Until then, let us know if you have noticed anything new, fixed, or broken, in the latest build by dropping us a comment below!
