Windows 10 Insider build 18277.1006 is now available on the Fast Ring, Skip Ahead Insiders have to wait for now
Late yesterday, Microsoft the Windows 10 Insider build 18277.1006 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This is a cumulative update for last week’s build 18277, which brought a couple of improvements for Focus Assist, the Action Center and more.
There are no new features included in this new build, but users will find the two fixes detailed below:
- We’re putting an update block for this build in place for a small number of PCs that use Nuvoton (NTC) TPM chips with a specific firmware version (18.104.22.168) due to a bug causing issues with Windows Hello face/biometric/pin login not working.
- We’ve fixed a media display bug that was causing unexpected display rendering for some users.
If you’re in the Fast Ring, this new build should appear as “KB4470200” in Windows Update. For now, Microsoft says that Windows Insiders in the Skip Ahead ring can’t get this cumulative update, but Jason Howard from the Windows Insider team said yesterday that those Insiders would get new bits to play with today.
If you're in skip ahead, that's why. But don't worry, we have something in store for tomorrow!
