Microsoft has just released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17115 to Fast Ring Insiders, which comes with a couple of fixes and a new privacy settings layout that Insiders will see during the set up experience. Microsoft is rolling out this new privacy screen settings layout to Insiders to hear what they think about it and make adjustments ahead of the release of the next major Windows 10 update.

“This new design conveys focused information to help our customers make focused choices about their privacy and offers two new settings for Inking & Typing and Find my device,” explained Marisa Rogers, Privacy Officer at Microsoft’s Windows & Devices Group. All Fast Ring Insiders should see the new privacy set up experience after installing the build, but Microsoft will actually test different setups: some Insiders will see a single screen layout with settings for speech recognition, Find my device and more, as seen in the featured image above. However, others will see a series of individual screens dedicated to a single privacy setting, as seen below.

Enabling inking & typing recognition will send some data to Microsoft.

“By offering multiple experiences to our Insiders, we’re able to hear multiple points of view, along with preferences on the best set up experience that showcases privacy set up choices,” explained Rogers. Once you’re done testing this new privacy set up experience, you can still change your privacy settings in the Settings app.
