WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone snags new emoji interface

The beta version of WhatsApp has just been updated to version 2.1.258.  This update brings a overall reorganization of emojis on the app’s keyboard.

Currently, in the public version of WhatsApp, emojis are accessed from the bottom of the keyboard. The update to the beta version gives this a face lift and moves emojis to the keyboard suggestion bar.  In general, this gives the keyboard a look much more suited for Windows 10 Mobile. However, as with all beta software, there are known issues. The process of selecting emojis takes a bit long and requires patience as they load.

WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app . The app uses your device’s internet or data connection to message and call friends and family.  WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, recently announced that it would drop its $1 per year fee, and is now a free app.  Unlike limited texting and phone plans, in WhatsApp there are no limits to message and call friends.
